Our ambassador, Nic Hamilton, supports this mission and works closely with us to reinforce the message that disability does not limit one\u2019s ability to succeed and thrive in the workplace.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Lately,\u00a0Evtec\u00a0has secured a significant contract with another prestigious OEM which spotlights its reputation for excellence in complex manufacturing. \u201cThis new partnership involves the sourcing, assembly, supply, and testing of advanced cooling, fuel, and air management systems,\u201d\u00a0discloses\u00a0Kevin. \u201cIt will allow us to\u00a0leverage\u00a0our in-house capabilities,\u00a0cutting-edge\u00a0assembly\u00a0expertise, and globally integrated supply chain. Another exciting development for the company was the launch of our electric vehicle (EV) chargers in Q2 2025.\u00a0Evtec\u00a0Charge is engineered in the UK, and the chargers have been designed to appeal to both domestic and commercial customers. All chargers are compatible with our\u00a0Evtec\u00a0Charge smart charging app, which is focused on simplicity and reliability, allowing quick setup and dependable charge scheduling with smart EV tariffs or solar integration. We plan to move final assembly of the chargers to our Coventry facility in 2026, marking another significant development in our in-house manufacturing journey.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n With these developments in the EV industry arising for\u00a0Evtec, Kevin\u00a0states\u00a0the EV revolution is inevitable, but the pace and scale of change are tempered by economic pressures, regulatory shifts, and infrastructure readiness. \u201cEvtec\u00a0identifies uncertainty as being the most significant barrier in the EV transition,\u201d he continues. \u201cThe transition to EV is a hugely complex undertaking, not only for OEMs, but for forward-thinking suppliers such as us. A transition as significant as internal combustion engine (ICE) to EV would normally encourage immediate investment in infrastructure,\u00a0services\u00a0and workforces; however, whilst the\u00a0initial\u00a0wave of investment was strong,\u00a0recent trends\u00a0show a more cautious and strategic approach from industry leaders. Our position within the supply chain gives us a unique opportunity to\u00a0observe\u00a0these dynamics across OEMs and Tier 2 suppliers.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Aside from EV, there are various technological advancements appearing within the industry which\u00a0Evtec\u00a0is embracing, allowing it to stay ahead of the curve when it comes\u00a0to innovation. Kevin adds: \u201cWe are committed to continuous improvement through the research and adoption of advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques. A recent example is the successful implementation of a camera-based Poka-Yoke system, which ensures\u00a0accurate\u00a0identification of OK\/NOK finished assemblies. Additionally, our active participation in industry events enables us to stay ahead of emerging technologies and integrate innovative solutions into our operations.<\/span> \u201cFurthermore,\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0recently invested in a\u00a0cutting-edge\u00a03D scanning tool. This means we can offer in-house testing and validation of products, ensuring higher quality control and precision, with reduced dependency on external providers. By\u00a0eliminating\u00a0the need to subcontract testing, we gain more control over timelines, and a faster turnaround supports our ability to meet increasingly demanding customer schedules. This aligns with\u00a0Evtec\u2019s\u00a0broader goals of reinvestment and capability expansion.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Continuing the theme of technology,\u00a0Evtec\u00a0has recently embarked on a digital transformation of its Coventry facility, which Kevin says enables the business to connect and\u00a0monitor\u00a0its varied manufacturing facilities in real-time. \u201cOur main facility is built around a robust SQL-based ERP system, forming the backbone of a connected digital ecosystem,\u201d he explains. \u201cReal-time data flows between people, machines and systems, driving efficiency, uptime, and responsiveness across our operations.
