As this sector moves toward electrification,\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0developed the\u00a0DCmax\u2122 series: aerodynamically\u00a0optimized, energy-efficient electric axial fans. The series are perfect for cooling powertrains in electric and hybrid\u00a0systems, but\u00a0also brings notable efficiency gains for traditional diesel engines.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To meet stricter performance and emissions standards, Multi-Wing has also introduced the PMAX impeller series, engineered to deliver higher pressure and improved efficiency across a wide range of off-highway cooling systems.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWe have a long development history with impellers; some of the designs we created in the 1960s and 1970s are still in production today,\u201d Morten notes. \u201cOur latest generation builds on that legacy with a complete portfolio from 30\u00a0centimeters\u00a0to 2.5 meters in diameter, giving OEMs precise control over airflow and performance.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Beyond off-highway equipment, Multi-Wing continues to innovate in HVAC\/R applications, from industrial and commercial ventilation to refrigeration and heat exchange. Its C- and L-series axial fans are designed to meet stringent low-noise and high-efficiency requirements, helping customers achieve better energy performance and lower operating costs in modern building environments.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Together, these developments illustrate how Multi-Wing\u2019s ongoing evolution \u2013 from\u00a0component\u00a0manufacturing to integrated airflow solutions \u2013 is enabling smarter, cleaner, and more flexible cooling across industries.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Few markets are growing as fast, or demanding as much innovation, as data\u00a0centers. As global demand for cloud computing and AI infrastructure accelerates, operators are under intense pressure to expand capacity while improving cooling efficiency and reliability.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cData\u00a0centers\u00a0are a huge growth opportunity for us, especially as players in this space are fighting for sufficient capacity and the requirement for cooling is in high demand,\u201d Morten confirms. \u201cWe\u2019re\u00a0seeing significant investments in the data\u00a0center\u00a0industry in North America, and\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0starting to see them in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. We believe data\u00a0centers\u00a0will drive much of the innovation and investment in the fan and cooling markets over the next five years.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To meet this growing demand, Multi-Wing has developed axial fans designed specifically for high-performance thermal management, handling higher air temperatures and pressures while\u00a0maintaining\u00a0exceptional energy efficiency. These\u00a0technologies are helping operators lower their Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and improve uptime as data density increases.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This segment has quickly become one of Multi-Wing\u2019s fastest-growing markets, shaping new directions in both product development and system integration. The company\u2019s investments in R&amp;D and capacity, including new motor and drive capabilities, are positioning it as a key partner for the digital infrastructure industry\u2019s next stage of growth.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To stay ahead in rapidly changing cooling markets, Multi-Wing combines organic growth with carefully chosen acquisitions that strengthen both its technological depth and regional reach.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In 2022, the company\u00a0acquired\u00a0Fabrika\u00a0Special Motors in Denmark, a developer of advanced electric motors and drive electronics.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The following year, Multi-Wing took another strategic step by\u00a0acquiring\u00a0VIP Air Empowerment in Italy \u2013 a specialist in fan systems and integrated airflow solutions. With more than four decades of experience, VIP brought valuable\u00a0know-how\u00a0in complete system design and a 5,000 m\u00b2 production and R&amp;D site in Milan.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-56215\" src=\"https:\/\/manufacturing-today.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/Multi-Wing-241-body-image.jpg\" alt=\" a large-scale industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system\" width=\"425\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/manufacturing-today.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/Multi-Wing-241-body-image.jpg 425w, https:\/\/manufacturing-today.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/Multi-Wing-241-body-image-300x212.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/>These acquisitions significantly boosted Multi-Wing\u2019s in-house R&amp;D in electronic drives and motor technologies \u2013 critical capabilities for developing next-generation, high-efficiency fan systems for HVAC, data\u00a0center, and off-highway applications.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">At the same time, the company is scaling its manufacturing footprint in Monterrey, Mexico \u2013 one of North America\u2019s most dynamic industrial hubs for HVAC and data\u00a0center\u00a0equipment. The 10,000 m\u00b2 facility, opened just a few years ago, is already undergoing expansion to meet rising demand. By mid-2026, it will serve as a high-volume production site for advanced axial fans across North America.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cEach of these investments has a clear purpose,\u201d explains Morten. \u201cBy combining aerodynamic, electronic, and system-integration expertise across regions, we can deliver truly optimized airflow solutions, faster, smarter, and closer to where our customers operate.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For Multi-Wing, innovation and sustainability go hand in hand. The company\u2019s modular designs extend product life and reduce waste, while its fans are made from up to 92 percent recycled materials. Multi-Wing is aligned with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and is progressing toward 100 percent renewable energy by 2030.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIncreasing fan diameter can deliver efficiency gains of up to 30 percent,\u201d Morten explains. \u201cThat\u2019s why we\u2019re investing in larger, smarter designs that use less energy per cubic meter of air moved \u2013 a win for both customers and the planet.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">From speaking with Morten,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0clear that Multi-Wing\u2019s commitment to innovation and efficiency continues to drive every decision. As our conversation closes, he reflects on what lies ahead for the company.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201c2026 will bring a steep growth curve as we bring our newly expanded facility in Monterrey up to full production capacity,\u201d Morten says. \u201cWe remain focused on developing the next generation of products, and as demand for fan solutions continues to grow, we must ensure we have the capacity and flexibility to capitalize on that demand.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">He explains that this flexibility, both in products and supply chain, is a defining strength. \u201cCustomers can achieve their exact requirements by adjusting parameters on the impellers, such as pairing them with different components or changing blade angles,\u201d\u00a0he notes. \u201cWe\u2019ve built this adaptability throughout our supply chain, and we\u2019re investing further to manufacture key subcomponents in-house.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">That adaptability will be essential as global cooling needs become more complex. Multi-Wing\u2019s combination of aerodynamic\u00a0expertise, system integration, and sustainable design positions it well for the next wave of electrification and digital infrastructure.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Morten concludes: \u201cOver the next five years, I see Multi-Wing doubling or even tripling in volume.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0why\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0crucial to\u00a0maintain\u00a0our focus on enhancing production capacity, stabilizing our supply chain, and continuing to innovate sustainable
